First Half of the Internationals is done...and well things look good. Bendtner's injury is not as bad as feared and he will take part in their match against Norway. Only Gibbs had a knock for the U21's and was back for treatment. Another thing worth mentioning is the number of captains we have in this team..let's count (Just the ones who played on the weekend.) Rambo for Wales,Nasri for france,Arshavin for Russia,Chamakh for Morocco,Rocisky for Czech..and these from a team with "no leadership" add Verminator for belgium!
Still on the internationals,it was good to see Van p score,Nasri with an assist and Wilshere well Wilshere! Great game he had. As for Rambo,he looked rusty. Nothing a few games can't scrap off! So let's hope that we have as much luck today and tomorrow for those who will play in thier national colours. Arsenal and Liverpool had complained to the F.A concerning the selection of Jack and Caroll respectively for the game aganist Ghana. Yeah I dont think the F.A will listen. Another one on that boy Jack is that Stuart Pierce is planning to take him up for the U21 Euros. Really? I know England are struggling but they have a flood of players (well not a flood) but Jack has already made it with the seniors, taking him back to U21 is like you being taken back to wearing diapers. He'll gain nothing,an injury maybe. Having played at the highest level,U21 would be kids play..am not under rating the under 21's in any way, just saying!
Now to other news,Lehman and Aliadière are set to start for the reserves later this evening here is the starting 11 ARSENAL: Lehmann; Hajrovic, Miquel, Boateng, Meade; Henderson, Ebecilio, Rees,Murphy, Aliadière, Freeman. Lehman should be warming up for the weekend..prof is tight lipped on this but we all know Almunia is coming nowhere near that goal post Saturday. So you ask who Aliadière is..he signed at 16 for the youth team in 2000 remember a young french striker who came to the light after a certain Jefers (what happened to him?) he was among the 'future stars' class of Cesc,Lupoli,Senderos e.t.c after a few decent performances in 06-07 season he grew a big head an d was offloaded to Boro..he scored a couple of times against us,Boro got relegated he stayed with them till the end of his contract in june 2010. He was allegedly signed by an Arab club Al Ain,but it was not to be. He returned to train with Arsenal in March. He says that if Arsene needs a striker he would be happy to return...aaahh No chance mate! I don't see it happening!
With the summer around the corner, (the worst time to be a gooner!) speculations are flying in from all over. Per Metersaker says he would love to play in the premier league..it's said that we are front runners to get him...aah again not happening, with Verminator coming back next season and Djorou looking solid. Maarten Stekelenburg,“If Arsenal make an offer, I will leave Holland” As much as I'd like to see him come, this is just another dream..Woijech and Fabianski with Mannone coming back. Axel Witsel..we have too many creative midfielders already. Bayern Munich have Gael Clichy at the top of their shopping list, add Juventus who have been sniffing around him for a while. Well if his contract talks continue stalling as they are maybe it's time to cash in! But Gibbs is not what you'd call decent cover..he's good but very injury prone. And to the never ending story of Cesc to Barca. Here's what I think,if he did not leave last summer then we have him for another 3-4 years. Barcelona don't have the money,if they want him that bad they'd have to offload a good amount of players.I don't see them doing that for one player..it's not like they are doomed if they don't get him. The 3-4 years is the amount of time Xavi has to play in my opinion, till he leaves or hits a major slump in form whichever comes first. Then and only then will they come for him with everything they got!
Enough with the barcunts (I have to go disinfect mt hands after this!) Finally Wenger and Nasri have decided not to appeal their one match ban..it's going to be a group match after all what is the use!
And with that my fellow Kenyan Gooners..Keep the Faith (Am looking for a swahili slogan!)

quite a good sermon....too bad am nt tht...(goooner)...

ReplyDeleteThe reserve game vs wigan ended in a 2-1 defeat. Ignasi Miquel was shown a straight red in the first half, for a 'last man' challenge. Lehman had a shaky game, slicing a back pass resulting in a corner and pulling an Almunia (rushing out for a ball and not getting it!). Cause for concern...maybe!
